Flatbread Company It was 9:00 pm on a Saturday night and Flatbread was still packed. Manager January Asbury seated us at the last available table, close to the large earthenware oven that Flatbread uses to cook their pizzas. Soon I was happily drinking a mojito made with pomegranate juice, crushed ginger and organic mint, while my friend sipped her margarita of freshly squeezed oranges, lemons, and limes. Our thirst assuaged, we took in the lively social scene that characterizes nights at Flatbread.

To Flatbread’s basic salad of local organic greens, arame seaweed, and ginger-tamari vinaigrette, we added goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. Exceptionally fresh and satisfying, this salad alone would bring me back to Flatbread for a return visit.

My friend chose a small pesto flatbread, laden with rich macadamia nut pesto, mozzarella, roma tomatoes, goat cheese, and olives. I chose the Punctuated Equilibrium, layered with tangy tomato sauce, mozzarella, and generous portions of roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, goat cheese, and rosemary. This thin-crusted pizza was just to my liking – you can savor the whole ensemble of flavors.

Flatbread was a fun, solid dining experience. If you take time to decipher the mix and match quality of the menu, then you’ll get what you came for and more. Upbeat, fast service and a warm ambiance, where everyone seems celebratory, added to the enjoyment of the evening, along with the fresh and healthy local ingredients which made up our food.

Fresh & organic ingredients, pizza with a flair, healthy and yummy!
Yeah, the place can get too hot in the summer. Order to go.

After 3 visits to Flatbread, I won't go back. Pizza topping quite sparse, the place is hot, service slow.
Menu is limited to pizzas and salads...how about some sandwiches or other specials? I tried 3 times thinking it would improve....
