Yes for view and good food
Reviewed by LinakaJoy, 2007-11-13 We love Kula Lodge for breakfast, lunch or dinner .. or even for a drink or hot cocoa by the fireplace later in the evening. Can not beat the view for starting or ending your day. We love their gourmet salads since all the ingredients are fresh and local -- the farmers and fields are their upcountry neighbors. Also yummy Maui onion soup with Kula onions; pot stickers, summer rolls, seared ahi, crab cakes; rack of lamb, Cajun ahi, or New York steak. Some of the simpler lunch options and sandwiches are just OK.
Overall a very positive dining experience; we return every time we visit Maui.

Not so great
Reviewed by kash1976, 2007-09-06 My husband and I went to see how the food was (we have been to Maui twice before but never to the Kula Lodge). Our waitress was very nice and helpful, but the food wasn't that great...I had the fish sandwich (grilled Ono) with a basil aioli, but the fish was overcooked and dry. The oven baked potato wedges tasted like bad seasoned fries from a frozen food section. My husband liked his veggie burger, but it said "our gardenburger" in the menu, but in fact was also from a frozen food section (Gardenburgers brand). The view is very nice, but definitely not worth the money.
