The Best Ahi in Maui
Reviewed by nukemlee, 2007-09-10 My husband and I eat at Roy' s all over America: Atlanta, Orlando, Vegas, but the one in Maui is the best. Roy's signature Ahi dish is my favorite. The ahi is fresh and seared just right. But the Hot Lava souffle is to die for. We drive 4 fours to Atlanta just for this desert. If they are selling the "Kits" to make the Lava souffles, UY ONE!

The first Roy's opened in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1988. At the time, chef
Roy Yamaguchi was the first chef ever to blend European cooking
techniques with the fresh local ingredients found in Asia and the
Pacific Rim. Today there are now 34 Roy's Restaurants in chef Yamaguchi's
Hawaiian Fusion empire including 25 in the Continental US, 7 in Hawaii,
1 in Japan and 1 in Guam.
The
Hawaiian Islands are an eclectic and harmonious blending of Pacific,
Asian, and European influences. Chef Roy Yamaguchi has managed to
capture this unique heritage with his inventive Hawaiian Fusion
cuisine, creating masterpieces of flavor. Using only the freshest
ingredients – usually grown or caught right here in the islands – Roy
continuously re-imagines the flavors of the islands with exotic
combinations of European sauces and styles, bold Asian spices and
artful presentation.
