FEATURED RESTUARANT: The Feast at Lele
The Feast at Lele presents world-class artistry in dance, cuisine and atmosphere woven together with cultural authenticity.

To begin, Lahaina’s Feast at Lele embraces an intimate beach setting on sacred Hawaiian ground. Lele, the ancient name for Lahaina, was the original home for Maui royalty and later the first capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom under King Kamehameha.

“Hidden beneath today’s modern structures are the fish ponds, residences and burials of Hawai‘i’s royal families,” says Feast at Lele’s co-owner Michael Moore. “King Kamehameha chose this very beach as his personal retreat. Today we are honored to revisit the cultural legacy of Polynesia in such a historical location.”

Worst Luau EVER
Reviewed by jwayman, 2010-08-04

I cannot stress enough that this was the biggest disappointment and waste of money. On our first trip to Maui I wanted to surprise my wife with a wonderful luau experience. Unfortunately I chose Feast at Lele. Yes we sat at a white linen clothed table - that had plastic legs that were "leveled" by a piece of folded cardboard under one of them. The food was terrible in every sense and our waiter felt it necessary to discuss parts of his divorce with us and those around us. The "performers" were good for the most part except for the one hula girl in the front row that could not keep from obviously rolling her eyes throughout the show and missing her cues and showing her displeasure at having to be there. The manager could not have cared less about our concerns since he already had our money and welcomed us to write a poor review because they were "the most popular luau on the Island." What an arrogant approach to a dissatisfied guest. I am not one to write a scathing review, except when it is well warranted. We should've taken the advice of our family and enjoyed the Old Lahaina Luau!

Beautiful setting!!

All in all the experience was a plus. We sat at a white table clothed table with a perfect sunset view. The drinks were unlimited, so we kept them coming. The food was okay, considering they were plating 100 guests at a time. Just keep in mind that a luau is basically a buffet, and if your not into buffet style food then this wont be your thing. But you wont go away hungry. The show was what we were really there for and it was fantastic. A must see!!
